Permanent - 35 hours/week (Full-time - On Site)
Catholic Family Services of Peel-Dufferin (CFSPD) is a non-profit, charitable organization reflecting the values consistent with Catholic social teachings. CFSPD is a dynamic, growing family service agency serving all areas of Peel and Dufferin.

The Partner Assault Response (PAR) program is a Domestic Violence Court initiative. Referrals to the program are received through the criminal court system, and Probation and Parole. The


PAR program delivers a specialized community-based group education/counselling to clients who have been mandated by the court to attend the program in response to a criminal charge involving domestic violence.

The program is funded by the Ministry of the Attorney General


Position Summary


CFSPD is currently seeking a Program Supervisor for our Partner Assault Response (PAR) program who will be responsible for the day to day running of the program.

This includes overseeing all aspects of program implementation and delivery. It is the Program Supervisor's responsibility to ensure that the highest standards in programming and delivery are maintained.

The Program Supervisor reports to the Program Manager. This position will be based in Brampton, Ontario.


Responsibilities:


Coordination

  • Liaise with community and service providers regarding the PAR program.
  • Assist Program Manager in the overall coordination of the daytoday activities of the PAR program
  • Ensure high level of quality in program delivery through the effective coordination/oversight of program administration, promotion, scheduling, equipment/supplies, evaluations, guest speakers, and facilitator scheduling.
  • Attending to ongoing issues/conflicts with programming whether related to clients, volunteers or staff.

Program Management

  • Assist in the development of short
- and long-term plans for PAR program, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.

  • Assist in design of performance objectives and implement and monitor programming to meet desired outcomes.
  • Supervise staff, students, and volunteers by articulating expectations, displaying model behaviour, maintaining open lines of communication and being clear about roles and responsibility.
  • Identify open positions and follow hiring and training procedures in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development of workshop/program content.
  • Complete reports and monitor PAR program and its development.
  • Review waiting lists to ensure clients are assigned to groups in a timely manner and/or referred to appropriate services.
  • Provide crisis consultation and conflict resolution for staff, interns and volunteers.
  • Assist with client service delivery as required.
  • Respond to client complaints or concerns.

Community Involvement

  • Positively and professionally represent CFSPD in the community by participating and collaborating with community partners, agencies and parishes on various projects, committees and initiatives as requested.
  • Network with external sources in the exchange of information through public speaking, providing inservice training, attending conferences and symposiums.
  • Assist with the development of public relations and communication strategies to support program goals and increase community awareness.

Administration

  • Ensure database maintenance which includes staff, volunteer, or client information and mailing list.
  • Oversight of the program registration processes including management of the PAR clients database.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of all program related promotional materials in the agency.
  • Prepare a variety of reports.

Qualifications:


  • Masters' degree in social work, psychology, or a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field combined with equivalent experience.
  • Registration with a regulated body is an asset
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as program supervisor.
  • Working knowledge of dynamics of family violence including Intimate Partner Violence and its effects on all family members
  • Working knowledge of supporting and connecting with clients who are mandated to attend programs
  • Comfort working with male clients involved in the justice system
  • Ability to work from an antioppressive, and antiracist framework
  • Understanding of all facets of diversity and ability to work and supervise from a lens of equity and inclusion
  • Ability to represent the agency to the staff, clients, and community by ensuring the best image is presented.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience supervising students is an asset.
  • Enthusiastic, warm, and friendly personality, with a demonstrated clientservice orientation.
  • Independent and selfdirected with the capability to operate with reduced direct supervision on occasion.
  • Application knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel
