Role Overview
The DotNet Developer will play a key role in designing, building, testing, and delivering high-quality software solutions.
This role involves full stack .NET development, working within an Agile squad, and driving continuous improvement of development standards, practices, and engineering excellence.
The ideal candidate enjoys creating impactful software, collaborating across product and engineering teams, and contributing to innovation through prototyping and creative problem-solving.
Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Design & Development
Build best in class software solutions including prototyping, feature development, testing, and deployment.
Design, code, unit test, and integrate new features as defined by the Product Owner and the team.
Ensure high quality software with ownership of production stability and reliability.
Develop and maintain ASP.NET MVC web applications, .NET-based web services, and backend logic.
Create and consume SOAP, REST, and WCF APIs.
Technical Leadership & Agile Delivery
Lead creative problem solving and bring conceptual software designs to life.
Promote Agile principles and support iterative delivery using Scrum/Kanban.
Update daily progress in Jira or Kanban board and support backlog refinement.
Lead technical "spikes" to reduce uncertainty and assess feasibility of solutions.
Automation, DevOps & Quality
Lead the development of automated test harnesses to support delivery of high quality code.
Use DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Fortify for CI/CD and quality enforcement.
Ensure appropriate documentation including deployment guides, maintenance tasks, and support procedures.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and operations teams to uncover pain points and identify opportunities.
Clearly articulate technical vision, options, and impacts to stakeholders.
Drive ideation and brainstorming sessions to propose innovative and disruptive digital solutions.
Standards, Architecture & Continuous Improvement
Participate in or lead initiatives to improve development standards, best practices, and engineering methodologies.
Collaborate with the Product Owner during backlog refinement and estimation sessions.
Leverage organizational awareness and problem solving strategies to manage challenges through creative abrasion.
Essential Skills
Strong experience developing web applications using ASP.NET MVC.
Proficiency with .NET Framework 4+, C#, and SQL Server 2016+.
Skilled in building and consuming SOAP/REST APIs and WCF services.
Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (e.g., Azure Kubernetes).
Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Hands on experience with DevOps tools: GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify.
Familiarity with monitoring tools:
New Relic, DynaTrace, DEVO/ELK.
Exposure to Kafka and NoSQL databases is a plus.
Desirable Skills
Experience working with the MERN stack (React, )—valuable as the organization transitions to modern technologies.
Experience developing SharePoint based solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical solutions clearly.
