The Role of the Rebel Leader


As our Staff Accommodation Manager you are responsible for managing the overall operations of Staff Accommodation, focused on creating and maintaining an exceptional employee experience for all employees residing on-site in staff accommodation.


You are a leader. Build employee engagement through active promotion of our values and purpose, company benefits and employee programs, leading Orientation days for new hires, coordinating staff-led committees, assisting in planning for on and off-site staff events, and building connections with the Tofino community (through beach cleans up or donation programs etc), working closely with hotel and restaurant leadership to provide a positive working/living environment.


You are a master of employee relations and health & safety. Communication and enforcement of staff accommodation policies with HR support, including disciplinary action for policy breaches. Play an active role in H&S committee including conducting monthly meetings and leading emergency procedures (such as fire or Tsunami drills).


You are an operator extraordinaire. Ensuring smooth on and offboarding of all staff accommodation residents, communicating with HR & Payroll regarding rent amounts & damage deposits, conducting monthly inspections of each room, coordinating with maintenance and housekeeping to ensure rooms are well maintained.


You are business savvy. Attending weekly leadership meetings, assisting the Resort General Manager in communicating events as well as new policies & procedures.


Rebel Requisites

  • Leadership experience preferred, hospitality experience is an asset
  • Experience with employee relations and Health & Safety is an asset
  • Approachable, social butterfly able to relate to residents and plan fun & responsible events
  • Ability to manage your own time with a flexible workload
  • Ability to collaborate with leaders and employees
