What you'll be doing

  • In collaboration with Project Managers and information collected at the scene of a disaster, you will be responsible for producing estimates representing the costs of restoring and repairing damage to buildings.
  • Reviewing estimates or submissions to ensure a proper reflection of refurbishment methodologies, estimate appropriate costs, and meet On Side's standards and policies.
  • Occasionally, the role includes conducting ontheroad visits to disaster sites to determine the extent of the disaster, identify materials and measurements.
  • Create detailed quotes of the postdisaster building repair.
  • Analyze quotes and quotes.
  • Use Xactimate and XactAnalysis automated rating systems.
  • Offer technical assistance to project managers on the different types of mandates and appropriate costs (emergency, asbestos removal, reconstruction, content).
  • Participate in negotiations to secure reclamation cost agreements.

What we're looking for

  • Certificate in Construction Estimation
  • 5 years of experience in disaster estimation.
  • Mastery of Xactimate estimation software.
  • Technical and practical knowledge of disaster building restoration (CNB, IICRC).
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Client service orientation.
