Description

Our Counselling and Mental Wellness Unit is looking for a dynamic, supportive and innovative leader to help further expand mental wellness supports in the community and within our agency, CFS Regina.


This position will Work collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor/Manager of the Counselling Unit to oversee all intake, HR, clinical and operational needs of the unit.


The ability to build and sustain good working relationships with all agency staff and, with counsellors in particular, knowledge of and experience with coaching/mentoring methods in the context of sensitivity to individual needs and styles of learning is intrinsic to this role.

Finally, conducting complex screening as the main point of contact for counselling services is required. Clinical case load monitoring and assignment of files will require intensive attention to detail and advanced organization skills. Crisis management, triage and outreach will also be required.


Experience and Awareness:
Clinical and administrative experience in a non-profit
Sensitivity, assertiveness, diplomacy and an astute understanding of mental wellness & a trauma informed approach is required

Must demonstrate an awareness of diversity with sensitivity to areas such as age, culture, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and socio economic class.

The position involves the stresses associated with being exposed to uncomfortable psychological/environmental conditions, multiple and/or tight deadlines beyond ones control and constant interruptions.


Education and Experience Requirements:


Applicants must have acquired one of the following from a reputable university: BSW, MSW, MA in clinical or counselling psychology, MEd in counselling psychology, PhD or PsyD in clinical or counselling psychology or a MA in marital and family counselling.

The counsellor must be a member of their respective professional association and have at least one year previous experience working with a variety of client needs.

Salary:
$4,350.00-$5,292.00 per month
