Cloud Economics is an industry standard practice within the Cloud Service providers.


Given Amdocs knowledge of the Customer's IT ecosystem, Amdocs cloud economics engage directly and collaboratively with customers, hyperscale's and internal Amdocs units to deliver cloud value advisory expertise, business case construction and business values, using best practices and accumulated KPIs.

To empower Amdocs Cloud Economics function, we are expanding, standardizing and industrializing the way we sell cloud, in order to reduce sales process time, increase benefits for Customers and manage Amdocs's risks

Cloud Economics focus and approach - what we do:

  • Making sure our Cloud offers are commercially optimized and sellable
  • Developing and selling TCO/ROI for the Customer's cloud journey
  • Standardizing, developing and negotiating cloud Terms and Conditions, supporting sales units to close deal
  • Developing, maintaining and driving various business models for the cloud deals

Functional responsibilities:

  • Provide a commercial support to Cloud Partners and Customer Business Group community during the cloud deals sales process
  • Work on the cloud proposals optimization, incl cloud consumption optimization (pricing strategy, payment options, technical leavers, etc)
  • Define Commercial strategy and transaction model jointly with cloud sales and partners
  • Develop, maintain and drive various business models for the cloud deals
  • Build/guide on the cloud TCO vs Onprem
  • Cloud CSPs options modelling/recommendation
  • Risks and benefits quantification
  • Build and maintain business case, ROI quantification of the cloud journey and defense to the Customer

Skills must have:

  • Sales or equivalent experience (could also be procurement, financial/commercial management) of the complex IT/transformation projects, preferably with specialization/experience in Cloud (IAAS, PAAS)
  • Proven experience in running/supporting long, complex B2B sales/procurement cycle processes
  • Good understanding/experience in the business case modeling and value assessment/articulation for the IT/cloud/transformation projects
  • Advanced Microsoft XLS skills of the creation/management complex TCO/financial models/business cases
  • Experience in communication/presentations at the executive level

Skills/experience - nice to have:

  • Experience in the risks/benefits/value assessment/quantification
  • Certification in Cloud practitioner/Cloud economics
  • Experience in the Cloud Economics with the hyperscale's and cloud service providers
