Description

The Working Condition Program (WCP) is a revenue-generating program offering a range of specialized services for adults with musculoskeletal injuries resulting from work-related accidents, motor vehicle accidents or long term illnesses.

Services include assessment, treatment, surgical services, consultation, and education, and are conducted by a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, other allied health providers, and physicians.

This is a fee-for-service program offered to insurers (including Workplace Safety and Insurance Board), employers, lawyers and other contracted programs.


The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day leadership and operations of the program, developing new business initiatives, implementing programs of care, coordinating quality improvement strategies, managing human resources for administration and clinical teams, developing and monitoring key performance indicators, and supporting the development and management of long-term operating plans and annual budgets for the program.


The Operations Manager reports to the Managing Director, and works closely with the management team across clinical marketed services programs at Sunnybrook to deliver the programs effectively.


Qualifications/Skills

  • A Master's Degree in Clinical/Health Sciences or Management, preferred
  • Current certificate of competence from Professional College, preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years recent Management experience in healthcare setting
  • Demonstrable understanding of thirdparty payer programs and revenuegenerating programs in a hospital setting, preferred
  • Project Management experience an asset, with focus on operational reviews/efficiency
  • Strong demonstrated leadership, communication, team building and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to work successfully with internal and external stakeholders and manage highrisk relationships
  • Experience with change management and innovation
  • Coaching and empowering style of management
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of legislation affecting human resources (i.e. human rights, employment standards, Occupational Health & Safety).
  • Familiarity with collective agreements, scheduling, and budgets
  • Computer literate
