    We are seeking an experienced and innovative individual to join our careers information team on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. Working within a collaborative and award‑winning department of careers and employability professionals, you will join the Student Professional Development Department (SPD) at Brunel University of London, as part of the Careers team.

    Salary: Grade 6 from £34,145 to £38,638 inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £40,757 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through exceptional contribution

    Hours: Full-time

    Contract Type: 12 month fixed‑term maternity cover

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and develop careers information and resources, including online content and social media presence.
    • Deal with initial career queries from students, making appointments, and providing both virtual and face‑to‑face support during conferences and workshops.
    • Develop and maintain online careers information resources and provide front‑line support to students and graduates.
    • Actively promote Student Professional Development across campus.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Degree level education.
    • Experience and understanding of higher education and graduate employability.
    • Creative flair, strong communication, administration, IT and analytical skills.
    • Flexible, can‑do approach and willingness to be involved in all SPD activities.
    • Knowledge of content management systems and experience of writing for social media (distinct advantage, further training provided).
