- Actively engage with customers, cultivating relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Order, receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery
- Ensure accurate cutting, grinding and preparing of meats for sale into portions and cooking form
- Prepare custom cuttings to specific customer needs
- Weigh, package, price, and display products
- Manage budgets and track inventory
- Ensure adherence to all Food and Safety procedures and to stock control guidelines
- Remain current on market trends and competitor activity
- Consistently meet sales targets
- Experience in a Meat department working with equipment and machinery
- Experience in specific technical butchery skills including portion cutting, cutting from primal and sub primal meat, utilization of all parts of the meat, prime cuts for grilling, roasting etc., and cleaning and grinding for sausages, burgers, etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills and work ethic
- Meet the physical demands of the job, including working in a cold/refrigerated environment, lifting 50Ibs and standing for extended periods
- Available to work a flexible scheduling, including weekends

Position: Butcher - Luigi & Sons

Luigi & Sons is a boutique retail space that will provide freshly cut meats, grab-and-go selections, as well as house-made provisions – an extension of the Elisa Steakhouse family. We are looking for a Butcher to be part of the team
Job Summary:
The Butcher ensures the availability of a wide range of quality well cut meat for customers and contributes to an exceptional customer experience through sharing product knowledge, making recommendations, and offering a personalized service.
