Responsibilities:


PRIMARY PURPOSE


Provides specialized full cycle recruitment services within a designated business portfolio, leveraging recruitment tools including community and digital outreach to proactively build talent pipelines.

Participates in continuous improvement projects and programs.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develops a recruitment plan and creates a customized sourcing strategy, in consultation with the hiring manager.

Advises and guides hiring team on different recruitment steps, to ensure compliance with best practices and compliance with legal, policy, and collective agreement requirements to ensure a robust hiring process.


Conducts pre-employment assessments such as background/reference checks, facilitates medical tests and licensing, as required, to ensure compliance and adherence to employment standards and best practice in Human Resources.

Maintains competition files with all the required documents.

Participates in job selection grievances as required and provides supporting documentation for the grievances.

Keeps Manager, Talent Acquisition informed of any unresolved issues and escalates issues, as required.


Qualifications:


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced knowledge of Human Resources concepts, practices, methods and techniques, with emphasis on recruitment.

Solid analytical skills to review and assess applicants, and to conduct trend analysis and produce statistics.

Sound problem solving skills along with sound judgement to assess and resolve/escalate issues.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.

Solid time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team or individually with mínimal supervision.

Proven ability to display tact, diplomacy, good judgment and confidentiality with highly confidential and sensitive applicant and employee information.

Possess a strong ethic to ensure consistency, equality and objectivity in the recruitment process.

Designation as a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) is an asset.

Recruitment Process:

An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process.

A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.


Work Schedule:

37.5 hours per week.


Work Designation:

Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.


Rate of Pay:

Salary $63,916 - $79,895 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity)
