    Who We Are

    The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) division of Finance and Treasury Board has an opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team.     What You Will Do

    The position responsibilities include:

    • Fulfill the role of Business Systems Analyst in assigned projects.
    • Determine, evaluate, and define architectural strategies, value for money and/or opportunities to align all departmental business objectives, business solution and delivery with information technology.
    • Work to ensure GNB's EA governance supported from artifact creation through to publication.
    • Assist in the preparation of one or more of the following technical deliverables.
      • Use Case / Business Model
      • Gap Analysis
      • Reporting Requirements
    • Help configure and maintain the organizations collaboration environment, currently based on MS SharePoint Online
    • Leverage data analysis tools such Microsoft Power BI, etc. for dashboarding and reporting.
    • Collaborate with the Digital Transformation Team and lines of Business on innovative transformation projects.
    • Review current and previously solicited functional business requirements and system requirements.
    • Consult on and review Requests for Proposals
    • Work with the enterprise architecture team to ensure that the enterprise architecture is being supported and leveraged.
    • Perform additional research on emerging technologies.

    "Must Have" QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a university degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline with a minimum of five (5) years of recent progressive experience as an Analyst involving analysis/documentation business requirements and the administration/ use of Information Technologies.

    OR

    A community college diploma in a related Business Administration, Information Technology discipline with seven (7) years of recent progressive experience as business requirements and the administration / use of Information Technologies.

    An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

    Must have, or be eligible for, a Canadian federal security clearance.

    Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

    "Nice to Have" QUALIFICATIONS:

    Preference may be given to candidates that possess one or more of the following asset qualifications:

    • Presentation and Communication experience
    • Experience in data analysis and Analytics.
    • Experience with the administration of Microsoft SharePoint sites.
