- Review customer take-offs and material quantities to prepare a cost estimate
- Prepare detailed quotes and submit to customers and answer any related
- Analyze job specification sheets to assist customer with choosing proper
- Use material, labor, transportation and other essential cost to calculate
- Logs all quotes and estimates into order entry system or other log. Organize
- Contact Vendors
- Maintain and monitor Quoting KPI
- Update estimates, schedules, reports and documents based on revisions and
- Work closely with Sales Reps, customer service, and management to deliver
- Follow up by phone with customers to get current feedback on quote and
- Follow all established protocols to assure correct pricing and customer
- Positive attitude and ability to communicate with all customers in a helpful and
- Provide product performance data as required
- Project Estimating
- Proofing small to large projects and assist order entry required.
- Pre-Sales Support including Sample Requests and Product Submittal Info
- Consult with customers, regarding project details to help coordinate required
- Be active in the research and development of the project and complete the
- Prepare reports, create or assist in presentations to ensure projects are
- Production reporting (daily, weekly, and monthly)
- Inter- department coordination
- Project scheduling, planning and problem solving by coordinating with all
- Conducts quality checks on all documents and reports, verifying accuracy of
- Effectively works with outside sales reps and interoffice to solve problems and
- Facilitate on time and efficient completion of projects by understanding critical
- Work closely with plant manager and production manager to support the
- Proactively establish key relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
- Collage degree not required, but preferred
- 5-Years' experience in architectural glass fabrication or related estimating
- Strong Estimating and Customer service experience is required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically
- Must have excellent computer skills – with strong MS Excel knowledge,
- Vendor and supply chain familiarity
- Glass Manufacturing knowledge
- Excellent Mathematical skills – specifically with fractions, some geometry,
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Description
Job Summary:
Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions is one of the largest architectural glass &
aluminum fabricators and distributors within the US and Canada offering
architectural aluminum products, fabricated glass, glass entrances, shower
packages, and mirrors. This role is responsible for estimates and quotes for
architectural glass projects for customers performing commercial glazing
projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position requires a highly motivated individual who is looking to expand their
knowledge and join a successful company. The position requires previous
experience in estimating or similar role within a manufacturing environment. All
activities must be performed according to corporate and plant safety standards.
