  • Full-Time: Friday to Tuesday, 7am3pm shifts
  • Part-Time: Saturday to Tuesday, 3pm11pm shifts

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in related field and/or equivalent experience working with youth with ASD and other special needs
  • Minimum one year of experience working with youth with ASD and behavioural challenges
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of supportive strategies, needs, and risk assessment
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches
  • Effective deescalation and crisis management skills
  • Valid Driver's License is an asset
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification
  • Proof of COVID19 vaccination (or approved exemption or accommodation from the Provincial Health Authority or Hollyburn)

A sample of what you'll be doing:

  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Building positive working relationships with the client, family, community members, and other professionals involved in the care team
  • Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting appropriate boundaries
  • Engaging in frequent interaction with clients, using appropriate means of communication
  • Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
  • Attending school meetings and case conferences when required
  • Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication, and assisting clients with personal care as needed
  • Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and care plans

Salary:
$22.70-$24.00/hour plus benefits
