Full-Time: Friday to Tuesday, 7am3pm shifts
Part-Time: Saturday to Tuesday, 3pm11pm shifts

Qualifications:

Postsecondary education in related field and/or equivalent experience working with youth with ASD and other special needs
Minimum one year of experience working with youth with ASD and behavioural challenges
Clear and concise written and verbal communication
Knowledge of supportive strategies, needs, and risk assessment
Knowledge of therapeutic approaches
Effective deescalation and crisis management skills
Valid Driver's License is an asset
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification
Proof of COVID19 vaccination (or approved exemption or accommodation from the Provincial Health Authority or Hollyburn)

A sample of what you'll be doing:

Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
Building positive working relationships with the client, family, community members, and other professionals involved in the care team
Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting appropriate boundaries
Engaging in frequent interaction with clients, using appropriate means of communication
Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
Attending school meetings and case conferences when required
Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication, and assisting clients with personal care as needed
Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and care plans

Salary:
$22.70-$24.00/hour plus benefits
