Job Details:


Responsibilities:


  • Perform modeling, design and technical calculations, material lists, construction details, drawings and diagrams relating to the overhead transmission systems
  • Prepare complex and complete drawings using computerized drafting tools, using AutoCAD or Microstation

Requirements:


  • Graduation from an accredited institute program in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Technology or Technician with OACETT Certification
  • Analyze the loads on PLS-Tower models from the wire system in PLS-CADD, analyze tower usage efficiencies and fix potential overstress issues.
  • Proficient in modeling steel lattice towers both selfsupport and guyed towers.
  • Proficient in working with implementing PLS-Tower models in PLS-CADD and run its various modules.
  • 5+ years of relevant design/drafting experience in consulting and/or Energy environment
  • Must be proficient in PLS-CADD and PLS-Tower
  • Knowledge and working experience related to Canadian Safety Code
  • Computer knowledge in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Welldeveloped communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
  • Effective problemsolving skills.
  • Experience in an engineering consulting firm is considered an asset.

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada.
