Description
We are seeking a Pension Analyst to join our W.A. Health Inc. team in Hamilton.
A pension analyst is a professional who works in the financial industry and is responsible for analyzing and managing Multi-Employer Pension Plans.
The Pension Analyst will:
- Manage the data associated with the retirement plan, including the enrollment of new participants, updating participant data, and maintaining accurate records.
- Analyze the data associated with the retirement plan to ensure that the plan is being administered correctly and that participants are receiving the benefits they are entitled to.
- Responsible for ensuring that the retirement plan is compliant with federal and provincial regulations and assist with the preparation of government filings and other compliancerelated tasks.
- Communicate with plan participants to answer questions about their retirement benefits or to provide updates on the plan.
- Work closely with the board of trustees to ensure that the retirement plan is being managed effectively and efficiently.
- Stay up to date on changes to regulations, tax laws, and other industry trends that may impact the retirement plans.
- Conduct research to provide recommendations to the board of trustees.
- Responsible for producing performance reports for the board of trustees and other stakeholders, which may include analyzing investment returns and measuring the success of the plan.
To be successful as a Pension Analyst with W
A Health, you will need:
- Industry experience or relevant designations such as a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC) to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the field.
- Strong understanding of pension regulations, tax laws, and other industry trends that may impact retirement plans.
- Must have strong analytical skills to review and analyze plan data, identify trends, and provide recommendations.
- Have a keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of plan data and compliance with regulations.
- Must have excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with plan participants, trustees, and other stakeholders.
Salary:
$75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

- Hamilton, ON L8N 1G4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Canadian pension: 2 years (required)
