    Position Overview:

    Multimatic Ride Dynamics (MRD) is one of the newest of Multimatic's North American divisions. Multimatic Ride Dynamics is looking for a Accounts Receivable/Cost Analyst who will be provide on-going customer support and assist the Controller in the assessment of company performance by study and analysis of financial and operational data. This position is for 9- month contract.

    Plant Location: Multimatic Ride Dynamics Stackhouse Road, Newmarket, ON, L3Y 8E4, Canada

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer all aspects of the Accounts Receivable function such as distribution of invoices, create and enter tooling related invoices, applying cash receipts, following up with customers, communicating the status of past due invoice and preparing monthly reports as required.
  • Responsible for the weekly and monthly variance analysis of Sales, production and OH accounts, and updating of various logs.
  • Co-ordinate the monthly closing of all A/R sub-ledgers in the G/L.
  • Responsible for management of Tooling inventory & Costing.
  • Prepare and enter the month-end journal entries.
  • Complete account reconciliations as assigned.
  • Assist in reviewing the requisition log.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end audit package.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Responsible for archiving records/documents and maintain archive database relating to AR and Tooling.
  • Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager, including providing back up for other functions in the department and strengthen segregation of duties.
  • Education and Experience:

  • Completion of a college diploma in accounting.
  • Minimum of three years' accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel).
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Above average analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
