Sirius Controls is a progressive and rapidly growing company that is well positioned in the manufacturing industry. We are looking to add a self-motivated and capable member to join our Production team.

We have an immediate full-time opening for an Electronics Assembler / Soldering in our Edmonton facility.

Electronics Assembler

Solder wires into throughholes on PCB assemblies.
Solder surfacemount components onto PCBs, including resistors and capacitors.
Install finished assemblies into cases.
Use basic computer knowledge for various tasks including building work instructions and looking up a bill of materials (BOM).
Test electronics to ensure that parts and assemblies meet production specifications and quality standards.
May perform assembly operations under a magnifying device.
Fabricated cables for use with test equipment and circuit boards as needed.
Perform assembly or modification soldering of electronic components, including rework and repairs
Maintain a clean and safe work area

Qualifications:

Experience with electronic assembly, finetip hand soldering touchup and rework of printed circuit boards using surface mount technology and throughhole components is critical
Ability to remove and replace fine pitch components without damage to the PCB or components
Strong English language comprehension is a must
Training and experience in IPC-A610, IPC7711/IPC7721 and J-STD001 is preferred
