Key Activities

  • Negotiates and develops agreements with clients and suppliers on services and service levels provided and seeks common ground to move initiatives forward.
  • Manages financial and human resources of the section and project teams. Allocates and prioritizes work of team leaders and direct reports, including employee assignments to individual projects, evaluating progress, and assessing employee performance in meeting goals and objectives.
  • Chairs and facilitates projectrelated meetings with project sponsors, other stakeholders and vendor representatives. Chairs and participates in departmental and interdepartmental meetings and committees.

Screening Criteria:


Education:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Information Systems.


Equivalency
A college degree in an IT related field and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience:


  • Extensive experience in the IM/IT field, including areas such as systems analysis, systems implementation and software development life cycle.
  • Significant experience in identifying information or technology needs that could address policy, program and organizational needs.
  • Experience in advising senior management on the strategic planning for a business unit.
  • Significant experience in the supervision and direction of staff or in a leadership role.
  • Significant refers to at least 2 years of experience.
**Extensive refers to at least 5 years of experience.

Competency Profile(s):


Relocation:

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.


Compensation:

From $103,919 to $126,025 per annum.


An incumbent occupying a position within the CS Group is currently entitled to receive a terminable allowance of $248 per month.

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
