About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, Perioperative/Surgical Services, or delegate.

The Operating Room Supply Technician is responsible for information management and analysis, requisitioning activities, including perioperative inventory and non-inventory goods and services; and coordination and compliance of contracts, market research, and customer support as directed by Health Services Manager, Perioperative Services for the Perioperative Surgical Services Program, according to established NSHA procurement policies.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Successful completion of Grade 1
  • Diploma in Business Administration or Supply Chain Logistics, or minimum one-year related experience required (including budgetary control and inventory management)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and working experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook required
  • Knowledge of purchasing systems such as computerized inventory control and ordering processes required
  • SAP software knowledge and experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills
  • Able to function independently and adaptable to change
  • Demonstrates problem solving and decision making skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
