Thrive Youth delivers arts-based leadership programs to children and youth in underserved communities facing barriers to success. We're dedicated to nurturing creativity, resilience, and self-confidence through programs for participants aged 9 to 17.

Our unique programs pair a Thrive facilitator with a professional artist from our artist educator network to deliver learning objectives that support the development of critical skills.


We are seeking a Program Facilitator based in the Greater Vancouver Area to deliver programming to a high degree of excellence.

Reporting to the Regional Lead, the Program Facilitator is primarily responsible for the delivery of programming and works collaboratively with the Programs team to identify and deliver on best practices.


This role is for someone who is excited about working with young people, motivated to take creative approaches to participant engagement, and interested in collaborating with the wider team to drive our mission forward.

As someone that is on the ground working with young people, you will travel to where the need is to ensure that we're engaging communities that can be hard to reach.

You'll be at the heart of all things Thrive. Your role involves designing activities and delivering engaging programs that inspire and nurture the potential in each youth. You'll foster a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages creativity and resilience.

What you'll do:


  • Program Delivery:_
  • Facilitation of onsite and online programming in adherence to all organizational and programrelated policies and procedures
  • This includes travelling to and from program locations such as schools, arts & cultural venues, studios, and community spaces.
  • Support delivery of program logistics as instructed by the Regional Lead, including travel partnering, supply management, and other duties as assigned
  • Support execution of all critical daily program tasks (attendance, safe arrival, head counts, etc.)
  • Support development and execution of lesson plans in accordance to Thrive Youth curriculum as instructed by the Regional Lead.
  • Monitor student engagement & work directly with students to support programming objectives and positive development outcomes.
  • Work with the Programs Team to identify best practices and revise program delivery to ensure the best possible experience for participants.
  • Collaborate with Artist Educators to deliver programs.
  • Engage volunteers meaningfully in programs.
  • Develop young leaders while having FUN
  • Program Stewardship & Reporting:_
  • Taking photos, recording moments of student development, gathering quotes/feedback from students, and other reporting tasks as assigned.
  • Be capable of speaking to key stakeholders about the organization and its programs
  • Connect students with appropriate partner outlets for further leadership growth beyond Thrive Youth programming offerings
  • Support special initiatives such as the dissemination of our volunteerpacked creativity kits to community partners
Under the directive and coordination of the Regional Lead, utilize work hours during times when programs are not running to support the growth of our network of community partnerships with local arts venues, industry leaders, schools, social service agencies, and corporate partners

  • Qualifications:_
  • Genuine passion for empowering and uplifting young individuals, demonstrated through past engagements or personal initiatives.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field such as youth development, social work, education, or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in
    child & youth programming, teaching, or an aligned field:
  • Ability to relate to & empathize with children who are challenged by difficult life circumstances and/or who face barriers to accessing opportunities beyond the classroom.
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work
