Casual Adult English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructors**The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board is recruiting casual adult ESL instructors to teach in adult non-credit ESL and LINC classes.
Summary:
Qualifications:
- Current TESL Ontario Certification (OCELT) is required. Please provide the membership number
- Completion of CLB Bootcamp and Introduction to PBLA from the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks (recommended within 6 months of hire into casual pool and required for hire into a permanent day or night position)
- Knowledge and experience with the Canadian Language Benchmarks
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively with teaching colleagues, administrative staff, and the management team
- Excellent practice and knowledge in the principles of adult learning
- Experience teaching online and using Learning Management Systems is an asset
- Demonstrated experience using technology as a teaching and learning tool
- Excellent communication and crosscultural skills
