Description:
Our client in Richmond, British Columbia is looking for a Operations Manager for their team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity with a competitive compensation package and dynamic working environment. The ideal candidate would have 4-6 years of progressive experience in a warehouse and logistics management environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, replenishment, and transportation and customer service
  • Manage/lead/empower/train and develop warehouse employees
  • Setup organizational goals in relation to the Warehousing & Distribution operations
  • Monitor the budget and report to Management on the current financial status of the department
  • Monitor and control inventory levels by planning and initiating inventory counts and investigate inventory shortages and discrepancies
  • Manage freight costs across the country and negotiate with multiple carriers
  • Maintenance of warehouse facilities; ensure housekeeping requirements are met and equipment is repaired in a timely manner
  • Monitor Health & Safety incidents, breakdowns and near misses. Ensure incident reports are completed in a timely manner for each functional areas, investigate and facilitate appropriate actions


    • Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of Warehouse and Logistics Supervisory experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years managing a team
  • Business Degree or Diploma, or combination of equivalent work experience and education
  • Flexible and adaptable to change and able to handle multiple and conflicting work priorities
  • Results oriented with a bias for action and with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
