Description:
The Instructional Designer position is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the training programs.
What your impact will be:
- Create, test, and innovate the learning experience with new design tools, technologies, and methods for eLearning and instructor-guided solutions
- Responsible for leading, updating, and submitting internal and external training program changes
- Use Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate to apply relevant instructional design and adult learning practices and practices for new eLearning courses
- Participate in the development of design guidelines with corporate stakeholders
- Establish overall learning measurement methodology in both live and virtual approaches to ensure the effectiveness of learning solutions
- Monitor progress of all phases of training projects and liaise with business partners to manage expectations and negotiate outcomes
- Train others on how to deliver instructor led training
What we are looking for:
- 5-7 years of experience in instructional design, program management, and needs analysis
- Passionate about people development, sales and leadership
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in adult learning, education or instructional design is an asset and/ or a combination of instructional design
- Confident with presenting to senior leaders
- Intermediate skills in Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360 (Storyline), PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word
- Excellent writing skills with a demonstrated ability to write quickly and succinctly
- Excellent planning, organization, and time-management skills with the ability to deal with multiple tasks and continuous initiative changes
- Expert at program design and solution creation
