Our client is currently undertaking an exciting multi-year initiative to replace their legacy systems, and are searching for a Business Analyst to join their team.
Reporting to the Manager of Business Architecture and Analysis, the Business Analyst is responsible for working with business users to gather and analyze requirements and business processes, to create system specifications and design documents for the development team. The Business Analyst is also responsible for supporting System Testing and User Acceptance Testing with business users.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Consulting with stakeholders to elicit requirements for software and process enhancements
  • Analyzing, documenting, reviewing, and obtaining approval of business and solution requirements
  • Working with the IS team (Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts and others) to recommend and deliver solutions that meet the needs of the organization and external stakeholders
  • Leading and supporting business users through the User Acceptance Testing process
  • Assisting with change management and related tasks to ensure the successful deployment of new solutions
  • Engage in a leadership role on operational projects and strategic initiatives

  • Skills & Qualifications:
  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate in business analysis, management information systems or other related field plus a demonstrated commitment to maintaining your skills
  • Five plus years of experience working as a Business Analyst
  • Experience with larger-scale projects involving ERP implementation, re-platforming, COTS implementation, and data migration
  • Advanced skills at requirements elicitation, facilitation and interviewing skills
  • Advanced knowledge and working experience with business with business requirements analysis and business process modeling/mapping
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders from front-line staff to senior management
  • A working knowledge of application development methodologies and previous experience working with development teams
  • Experience leading and facilitating cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision, and to balance tasks with competing priorities & deadlines
  • Superior written and oral presentation skills for communication with multiple user levels and management
  • A working knowledge of project management principles is considered an asset
