As of May 15, 2020 in order to mitigate the risk of the transmission of Covid 19 among persons in our care, patients, residents and also staff in our long term care facilities, an order under the Public Health Act was enacted to limit movement of staff between long term care facilities. While this order is in place staff will be limited to employment in only one (1) long term care facility. This vacancy is located at a long term care facility and will be pursuant to this order.
We are currently looking for individuals interested in working as a Health Care Assistant in our Long Term Care Facility in Mountain View Manor - Delta Hospital.
Build on your education & experience as you: •Provides personal care to patients such as assisting the patient with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, prosthetics, elimination, and overseeing patient exercise routines. •Assists patients in making beds, personal laundry, organizing personal belongings and assists them in retrieving personal care supplies from storage area as required. •Assists patients with meals by serving and collecting meal trays and feeding designated patients. •Charts/documents patient information in accordance with established procedures/practice on the patient care health record, and reports problems and/or changes to nursing staff. •Assists nursing staff with care of patients in seclusion rooms as directed by the RN/RPN including assisting with activities of daily living, delivering food, and use of restraints.

- •Graduated from a recognized Health Care Assistant program •Food Safe Level 1 Certificate •Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry (please include your registration number on your application)
