The assistant manager is mainly responsible for assisting the manager with regard to the operational activities and the management of human resources while ensuring an exemplary customer service is always offered. He or she makes sure that operations are always compliant to the standards established by The Jean Coutu Group, the franchisor.

Some of the duties of the assistant manager are:

  • Plan, distribute and supervise the work done by employees in his or her charge
  • Oversee the opening and closing of the store and ensure that the store is neat and operations run smoothly
