  • Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a Software Developer II specializing in the integration of data between all university systems for our Department of Information Technology Solutions (ITS). The Software Developer is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, troubleshooting and documenting solutions to business needs throughout the entire phase of the development cycle. For the right candidate this can be a remote position.

    Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include:

    Design and develop data integration web services using MuleSoft and Ellucian Ethos between Banner and 3rd party APIs like Salesforce and BrightSpaceUses tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, SSMS to design and develop solutions based on business requirements documentsLeads development efforts on products or product featuresProvides accurate estimates on project tasksWorks in an Agile methodology on a highly proficient Scrum teamParticipates in all Agile ceremonies: All Team Planning, Daily Scrum, Refinement, Sprint Review, and RetrospectiveResearches and provides technical solutions for complex design challengesApplies best practices and standards in all solutionsOwns or co-owns products, can identify opportunities for improvements and bugsLeads peer and code reviews

    Minimum Qualifications:

    In-depth experience with Higher Education software products like Banner, Colleague, BrightSpaceFundamental Experience working with Banner Data model or application5 – 10 Years of experienceBachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience in lieu of degree acceptableExperience writing Object Oriented code using C#/JAVAExperience with RESTful web servicesExperience developing integrations using REST with JSON, SOAP with XML, or GRAPHQLExperience with MuleSoftExperience building custom solutions using ASP.NET/MVCExperience with JavaScript/JQueryExperience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Azure CosmosProficiency writing queries, stored procedures for SQL ServerExperience with Source Control systems such as Microsoft TFS, Azure DevOps, GITExperience in the entire software development lifecycleMust be detail-oriented and logicalExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to keep up with new business and technical conceptsAbility to learn new skills through independent researchAble to work independently and in team environmentMust display a positive attitudeStrong understanding of Agile Frameworks (Kanban/Scrum/Safe/)

    Work Hours:  

    Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with flexibility to meet business demands as needed.
