Job Summary:

•Develop and troubleshoot functionality of web and/or mobile application components.
•Collaborates with team and other Engineering staff to accomplish all daily engineering tasks on-time with a high level of quality
•Ensures defects are addressed in the project lifecycle resulting in the resolution of the defect or the defect being moved to a future release
•Continue to advance knowledge and skills through training and mentoring
•Participates or leads in daily stand ups and other team meetings
•Leads in the development of end- user documentation
•Maintains excellent knowledge of technologies related to web and/or mobile applications
•Complies with policies, procedures, and standards defined by the IT department and company
•Grows good knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the testing field
•Integrate business and technical needs to complete a project
•Experience in managing people and teams in an agile environment
•A self-starter who can work independently and autonomously in a collaborative environment
•Understands the value in delegation but can move in and out of the day to day deliverables as the need arises
•Leads will be responsible for providing feedback and career direction to less experienced team members
•Must be able to identify and effectively communicate strengths and weakness of those they manage
•Builds relationships with other departments and other leads to facilitate communication and project completion.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain all systems, physical and virtual, for application environments.
  • Manage build and testing systems in support of Engineering group.
  • Perform troubleshooting of problems associated with internally developed applications.
  • Perform application deployments for company developed software.
  • Administration and management of PaaS and IaaS platforms.
  • Provide support for security related to public and internal facing applications.
  • Configure and support system monitoring of critical systems and applications. 
  • Participate in On-Call rotation.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, and standards defined by the IT department and company.
  • Duties are performed with general supervision.


  • Strong knowledge of Systems Administration.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP Networking and Security.
  • Knowledge or experience with web applications and platforms.
  • Experience using testing tools such as Selenium or browser based plugins.
  • Knowledge or experience with database systems.
  • One of the following:Four-year degree in Computer Science or BusinessEquivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years related experience preferred in Windows or Linux/Unix administration.
  • Some experience of knowledge of IaaS or PaaS providers such as Amazon Web Services or RackSpace.
  • Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Puppet or Chef.
  • Knowledge or experience with application development, testing, continuous deployment and continuous integration tools and concepts.
  • Knowledge of monitoring systems such as Nagios and NewRelic.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with end-users, peers, managers, and vendors.
