Eaton’s Engineering Services and Systems (EESS) division is currently seeking a Coordinator for our Power Breaker Refurbishments Center located in Edmonton, Alberta.

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the PBRc Manager, this position is responsible for providing a high level of support to the Edmonton PBRc operations ensuring sales, profit plan and growth goals are achieved in addition to maintaining customer satisfaction. The PBRc Coordinator will work very closely with Sales, EESS Administrative Coordinator, PBRc Manager, Canadian DOC’s (Managers, Supervisors, Team Leader (TL) & Field Service Reps (FSRs)) and U.S. Aftermarket organization.

In this function you will:

  • Be responsible for all warranty administration including providing manufacturing plants with upfront cost estimates, submitting Job Open Request Forms (JORF) to the EESS Administrative Coordinator, on-going interaction with customers and internal Eaton groups (FSRs, CTC, GSF, Plants)*, reconciliation of final costs and submittal of invoicing request(s).
  • New PBRc orders – responsibilities will include: Open/review JORF – scope of work, hours and confirms task is set properly for partial billing. Creates a Job Folder that will be handed off to Team Lead or FSR. Requests changes and clarifications as required. Order material and confirm deliveries or identify material ordering responsibilities (TC, TL, FSR, PM or combination of all). Confirm Inter-unit (IU) amount to our DOC’s or Project Manager(s). Identify labour and estimated billing dates. Contact PBRc customers to confirm all project details, site contacts, PPE, timelines etc. Set Job Hand-off meeting with PBRc Technician Lead; include sales and neg-apps as required. Meeting will review and confirm on-going responsibilities. Assist FSR(s) in the field with technical support and job coordination on as-needed basis. Upon completion, work with DOC’s Lead to reconcile job costs and IU invoicing request to EESS Admin. Ensure Warranty issues are identified and addressed. Sign timesheets on servers, as required. Ensure change-orders are received and acknowledged. Confirm reports are completed and stored on the server. Request permission for invoice to be forwarded to the DOC.
  • Backlog – schedule mid-month and month-end meetings to review and update back-log Confirm current monthly billing Calibrate ship dates, as required. Confirm following month forecast
  • Assist operations with continuous process improvement, annual profit planning and growth strategies.
  • Support sales, while continually improving quality and customer service levels.
  • Maintain effective relationships with/service to customers.
  • Contribute to the product/process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with the safety of all employees and strict compliance with safety policies.
  • Performs other duties, as required.

    Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution or a licensed Journeyman Electrician or Mechanic.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Electrical Equipment Refurbishment, must have hands-on Mechanical experience
  • Must live within 80 km of the facility.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience with electrical manufacturing refurbishment, ideally with low and medium air circuit breakers
  • Supervisor skills
  • Very strong mechanical skills and good electrical skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem solving skills
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment as part of a team
  • Strong technical aptitude of electrical distribution and control systems
  • Effective time management, prioritization and project management skills
