Assist the Executive Vice President, STM with the marketing and advertising efforts related to our line of equipment for the Central Region market. Assist the Executive Vice President, STM with the preparation of budgets and forecasting for our line of equipment. Set pricing strategies for all equipment. Assist technical staff with any testing activities (R&D). Visit underground shotcrete crews providing the following service: Training Suggestions on dust and rebound reduction Reinforcing proper equipment maintenance and operating procedures Responding to specific customer complaints Developing trust and rapport with the end users of our material and equipment Participate in and assist with the selection and organization of trade shows for STM markets. Work with Operations group to ensure inventory levels are maintained in order to ensure adequate lead times for both parts and equipment, both for direct sales and internal needs for repair. Continually asses Rental Fleet to determine if equipment must be added. Communicate with the Operations group to prioritize workflow for hourly shop personnel. Work closely with STM CSRs to ensure customer expectations are met. Communicate with customers on equipment repairs, costs, causes, etc. Take an active role in industry associations such as CIM.
Under the leadership of the Executive Vice-President, STM, the Equipment Manager, STM is responsible for the sales of our line of equipment products in Canada, focused initially in Central Region. You should represent the best interests of Sika when dealing with sales staff, consulting engineers and contractors.
We Need Your Skills
You are an individual with: a University or College degree in Mining Technology or related field 3-5 years of sales/service experience in the mining industry Knowledge of shotcrete & shotcrete equipment (a strong asset) Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel Strong inter-personal and presentation skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work within a team environment Excellent leadership skills Excellent organizational skills Strong ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot issues Bilingual in French & English (an asset)
