This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Payroll, the incumbent performs payroll management tasks, while adhering to deadlines, for all of the Bank's employees across Canada.


º Reconcile weekly payroll every two weeks -Verify the data and operations to ensure their compliance and accuracy
º Prepare and reconcile the directors' payroll (quarterly)
º Reconcile payroll with accountable accounts
º Reconcile source deductions and third-party remittances (more than 15 remittances)
º Prepare documents for remittance payments and make payments within the required deadlines
º Reconcile pension plans and prepare documents for remittances
º Prepare billing for our insurance programs
º Prepare cash and cheques
º Reconcile payroll savings accounts
º Participate in the year-end process - reconcile and declare taxable benefits (parking, fees for professional orders, health account, stock purchase plan, loans) and participate in issuing tax forms
º Monitor financial benefits
º Participate in the control and follow-up activities of various recurring processes
º Participate in any project or new development related to payroll deductions, taxable benefits and its implementation
º Establish and maintain effective communications with various stakeholders involved in the files
º Respond to various requests by email or telephone
º Respond to requests from internal and external auditors
º Take an active participation in month-end and fiscal year-end procedures
º Provide support to teams and various internal departments regarding matters related to payroll accountability
º Keep updated on current legislation and the Bank's policies and procedures
º Perform all other related tasks requested by his or her supervisor


º College diploma in accounting/finance or the equivalent and a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a related field
º Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
º Knowledge of a payroll software application (VIP by DLGL an asset)
º Bilingual (spoken and written), English and French
