The Finance Systems Analyst is responsible for providing support, technical guidance, and training to a team of Finance processors and managers in a Microsoft Dynamics GP environment. As the GP Application expert with experience on configurations, information/business requirement gatherings to full database implementations.
Work includes development and communication of best practices, Q&A support, training, report writing, and other services required to support the day‑to‑day processing and efficiency objectives of the team.
Any or all of the following may apply, depending on the individual, and the business cycles: To support the continual best-practices, quality and efficiency of a team of Finance processors Provide deep understanding of “why” not just how, with regards to Finance transaction processing Ability to resolve system problems created by normal course processing activities Develop ad hoc reports and other tools for continual improvement of processing services Project management of finance and system integration of new acquisition, including but not limited to full cycle implementations of GP including business requirements gathering, review, validation & testing of the GL ERP modules Liaise with the IT on finance system upgrades, projects, and related reports Develop & update training documentation once system changes are made and leading short training sessions to educate the finance staff in understanding best practices Provide user training to improve the overall efficiency and usability of the system Internal GP subject matter expert on all core modules of GP such as SOP, GL, POP, Inventory, Bank, multi-currency, intercompany, sale taxes/VAT, Masterdata etc. Perform Tier 1 level support to finance users Other duties as required
Skills: Business use and user “consulting” in best practices on Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 Tensoft Revenue Recognition Management (desirable) Troubleshoot through technical and functional support issues Overall best business setup, process, budgeting and business reporting Solid understanding of Finance operations (terminologies, practices) Solid written and oral communication skills Responds well to shifting priorities and demands through analytical and problem-solving capabilities Directly supported the Finance Organization in previous capacity 3-5 years of directly relevant experience Ability to travel
