What’s it like working as a Vendor Management Analyst at Questrade? 

Vendor Management:

  • Maintain existing vendor relationships including day to day interactions, hosting status meetings, troubleshooting issues, providing requirements for new projects, coordinating and participating in Vendor demonstrations
  • Engage and work collaboratively with Vendors throughout the entire Vendor Management lifecycle process
  • Escalate Vendor issues when required
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to report and track vendor performance, complete vendor scorecards, areas of improvements , providing feedback to vendors via regular operational review meetings
  • Perform Vendor Due Diligence, negotiate contractual terms and pricing for new Vendor agreements 
  • Assist in RFx processes including gathering internal requirements, coordinating demos, vetting Vendors and participating in Vendor Selection 
  • Confident and comfortable speaking in small groups and presenting opinions to stakeholders 
  • Assisting with IT purchase requests including hardware and software
  • Knowledge of software licensing, purchasing, renewing software licenses 
  • Assist in creating and analyzing requisitions, clarifying specifications, monitoring, updating requests in running PO software application to ensure timely order submission

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Questrade’s service offering, the relationships with vendors, existing business models and the flows of data in the business. 
  • Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
  • Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other.
  • Identifies critical issues with ease.
  • Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
  • Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets.
  • Schedule meetings, document meeting minutes and distribute to team

  • University degree in computer science, information technology, business management or equivalent undergraduate program.
  • At least 1 year of information technology procurement experience
  • Understanding of business, data, process, and object-oriented analysis and modeling techniques. 
  • Knowledge of the vendor management lifecycle
  • Good familiarity with MS Office tools such as Word and PowerPoint and G suite
  • Proficient in data analysis using Excel (PowerBI would be an asset)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills is required. 
  • Must have excellent oral and written skills; including superior technical writing skills for the creation of detailed business requirements
  • Expected to be familiar with project implementation methodologies and project management
  • Basic understanding of web technologies is essential
  • Familiarity with trading systems, online brokerage business models, digital banking and digital mortgage business models as well as the Canadian regulatory requirements, policies and procedures is an asset
