Your Next Opportunity

McMillan is seeking a full-time Assistant to join the Marketing and Business Development (MBD) department, to provide maintenance and stewardship support to the CRM team and to assist with specific email marketing initiatives.

Reporting to the CRM Team Lead, the ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and be comfortable working with large data sets.

Please note that McMillan has extensive pandemic protocols in place to protect all firm members. This position is a remote role (WFH) until further notice.

What You'll Do

CRM (70% of the role)

  • Maintain CRM data quality
  • Manage and process change requests including reviewing data, importing lists and performing required research
  • Generate reports for internal clients
  • Take ownership of data projects. Ensuring accuracy and completion
  • Be the point of contact for internal users - answer CRM and CASL related questions and address escalating issues
  • Participate in enhancement projects around CRM and email marketing system
  • Contribute to CRM knowledge base, including writing tip sheets and test cases
  • Email Marketing (30% of the role)

  • Manage distribution of firm’s electronic communication
  • Provide campaign statistics to marketing team - explain campaign results and suggest improvements
  • Ensure firm’s branding standards and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requirements are met
  • Address unsubscribe and bounce backs
  • Manage surveys and event RSVPs
  • What you Bring

  • Understanding of Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
  • Knowledgeable with CRM databases – ie. Salesforce platforms
  • 1-2 years database experience
  • Strong Microsoft excel skills and marketing automation systems
  • Ability to perform database queries in a CRM, perform vLookups,
  • Effective time management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Comfortable working with large data sets
