Benefits Coordinator
Hartland, NB

The Benefits Coordinator performs varied administrative and specialized tasks in support of the day-to-day administration of all employee, owner-operator and drivers benefit programs, assists with various benefit related issues in accordance with established policies and regulations, while maintaining a very high degree of confidentiality. The ideal candidate must be well versed in the various retirement plans the company offers and the ability to handle inquiries about vesting and rollovers for employees who leave the company or retire.

How You’ll Help

  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, owner-operators and drivers regarding their benefits and processing of their benefits, to include answering inquiries, performing research, provide support on benefit plan documents and being an expert with extensive knowledge of all plans.
  • Work collaboratively with third party administrators (TPA’s) to ensure reasonable responses to concerns and accuracy in the application of the policy and challenge when required. 
  • Manage accuracy of data in the benefits computer systems, streamlining benefits billing processes, and maintaining benefits related forms and documents.
  • Support and administration of all leaves and short-term disability claims.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned. 
  • Your Skills & Experience: 

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in human resources, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Progressive experience in pension and benefit administration or HR a strong asset.
  • Customer service experience required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Completes work with a high attention to detail & maintain a high level of confidentiality 
  • Deal effectively and courteously with employees, owner-operators, drivers and the general public 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office, SAP and benefit provider systems. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel an strong asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) an asset.
