Primary Responsibilities

HDR’s Vancouver studio is in search of a Project Manager to join our growing practice and continue the legacy of providing creative design solutions that improve health and the human condition. HDR is home to world-class health and science expertise and the Project Manager will serve as our client’s conduit to these capabilities.

In the role of Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
•Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects
•Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance the team throughout entire project's development
•Establish client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
•Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance
•Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff and subconsultants
•Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule
•Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
•Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed
•Perform other duties as needed


Required Qualifications

•Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
•15+ years Architecture and project management experience
•Must be able to lead a team on projects
•Strong planning and mentoring skills
•Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
•Working knowledge in Revit and Sketch-Up
•An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

•Professional Registration and ability to convert licensure to AIBC
