This opportunity resides at our Burnaby Still Creek head office and fills an 18 - 20 month maternity leave. This office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. It’s easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

What you’ll be up to as our Senior HR Advisor …

As a senior HR professional you’ll be the first point of contact for employees, managers and the HR team seeking support in the following areas:

  • Recruitment and selection

  • Onboarding

  • Performance management/coaching

  • HR programs and policies

  • Change management

  • Payroll and benefits – general knowledge

  • Mergers and acquisitions

  • HUB Champion

  • Special HR projects and initiatives

    • What you bring to the table …

  • This isn’t your first rodeo. You have HR experience, preferably a minimum of five years in a generalist capacity

  • You’re a people person. You have the knack for being a subject matter expert

  • Client-service focused with exceptional client service skills

  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and you don’t hesitate to take initiative!

  • A reliable team player with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • You’re proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • You hold a degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities

  • Comfort to high-volume sourcing/recruitment

  • Knowledge of BC Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Legislation

  • General understanding of how payroll and benefits is administered

  • Experience using Workday and/or Kronos is an asset

  • Insurance industry experience/knowledge an asset
