What we are looking for:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be part of the Fiera Private Alternative Investments division and will be working closely with the HR Vice President in driving the human capital strategy. As a key partner to our Private Alternative businesses with primary focus on the Real Estate and Infrastructure platforms, you will also contribute towards innovation and continual improvement to enhance Global Human Resources best practices. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor by focusing on driving people plans with a focus on talent & culture.

Your responsibilities:

  • Understand and participate in the elaboration of the business plans, objectives, and operating environment of your client groups in order to translate business needs into integrated HR solutions;
  • Influence and coach People Managers to support them in driving high engagement with their teams, supporting them with employee relations ensuring that company values prevail and that outcomes respect relevant legislation;
  • Work in collaboration with talent acquisition and support recruitment initiatives by being on the forefront of workforce planning and identification of business unit’s-wide talent;
  • Partner with the business to identify learning and development solutions to build future-focused capabilities within the assigned client group;
  • Work closely with our Total Rewards center of excellence to focus on the key elements that will enable us to attract, motivate and retain talent to achieve our desired business results;
  • Manage the implementation and launches of all HR programs in your client groups;
  • Provide recommendations on the design, facilitation, and implementation of HR solutions to ensure alignment with the client groups’ strategic development and long-term planning;
  • Use analytics insights to inform our future-focused people strategy;
  • Manage the day to day HR operations of the supported platforms with a continuous improvement mindset;
  • Drive a performance-oriented and learning culture and supporting projects aligned to this journey
  • Identify human capital risks and build mitigation plans;
  • Drive a diverse and inclusive environment by supporting D&I strategy.

    • EDUCATION/ACCREDITATION :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations and/or related fields;
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (HRPA, CPHR) designation or equivalent would be an asset;
  • More than 7 years of experience in a HR Business Partner role; Strong HR & Business acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, professional demeanor and attitude;
  • Relevant experience in an Alternative investment or in the financial industry would be an asset;
  • Demonstrated experience as a change agent and capability to drive change management within supported businesses;
  • Ability to think, act and execute on a strategic level and interact with division executives and senior level managers as well as capable of continuously improve the tactical day to day HR operations;
  • Strong team player who has experience working in multi-site and international environments;
  • Ability to deliver projects and assignments on budget, on time and on quality;
  • Ability to articulate oneself effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of audiences;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work; and manage projects from conception to implementation;
  • Experience in the financial industry would be an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of various Canadian provinces labor laws;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset.
