About the Position:

The School of Social Work at Carleton University invites applications from qualified candidates for a preliminary (tenure-track) appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2021.

Priority will be given to candidates whose research has significant potential to contribute to improving community practice with racialized and Black communities. In particular we are looking for candidates who draw on critical race, anti-racist, anti-Black racist and decolonizing frameworks in their work. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of post-MSW experience in community practice. Experience teaching community-based practice courses either at the graduate or undergraduate levels is preferable.
