, is a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies, Inc. As an Avionics Analyst - Engineering at L3 MAS you will:
Perform as part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed or to be installed on airborne platforms. To achieve this, you will be called upon to: Perform Engineering trade studies on existing and new product technologies; Integrate and test, wideband and narrowband communication and datalinks ; Translate requests of the customer into system level requirements; Write subsystem specifications to subcontractors based on system level requirements; Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design; Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements; Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals; Develop experience managing and implementing software and system test plans in a team environment.
Bachelor degree holder in aerospace or engineering field (Avionics, Electrical) or equivalent from an accredited university; Experience with computer-aided drawings tools, knowledge of ePlan P8 and CATIA V5 is an asset; Knowledge of the following standards : ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 739, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754, AS9100, MILSTD-810 (Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests) and DO-160 (Test Environmental Conditions and Procedures for Airborne Equipment), etc.; Strong communication skills (written and oral); Demonstrate integrity, passionate, autonomous and team player; Results oriented and knowing how to maintain the balance between professional commitments and personal obligations; Computer skills: Knowledge of MS Office required (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word) including MS Project and use of security tools; The candidate must be eligible to meet the requirements for Canadian government security clearance, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Operational requirements : Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program ; Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance ;
