Overall Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair equipment deficiencies
  • Communicate with site management to coordinate maintenance priorities
  • Maintain maintenance records
  • Promote safety awareness by ensuring compliance of corporate health and safety policies and procedures
  • Qualifications:

  • Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician (Off Road) – Journeyman (Red Seal) Certified 2nd Year preferred 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with CAT, John Deere and Hitachi equipment
  • Minimum 2 years in Heavy Civil Earthworks Construction and/or Infrastructure
  • Have the ability to deal with large volumes of work and demanding situations
  • A valid driver’s license, CSTS, OSSA or CSO training Willingness to work in the Fort McMurray area and live in remote camps, working a rotational schedule of possibly 2 weeks on and 1 week off
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Valid Class 3 operators license with air brakes (candidate to provide current abstract)
  • Standard First Aid certification is an asset
