The Technical Team Lead
is responsible for leading a team of System Administrators, Managed Services solution development in supporting large, complex opportunities and in addition, he/she will provide technical experience input to all Compugen Managed Service offerings. The Managed Services Technical Lead identifies customer needs for customized operational support, assessments, migration services and other consulting services. Responsibilities:
include uncovering customer requirements, performing due diligence activities, designing services solutions, leading technical resources.
The Technical Team Lead must possess the ability to understand the Customer’s business challenges and tie the solution design to those challenges. The Managed Services Technical Lead must have the necessary business acumen to discuss business needs and challenges with Customer executives and internal business practices. The Managed Services Technical Lead should also have the technical knowledge and background to feel comfortable in a technical discussion with senior IT leaders and staff. Experience in requirements gathering, due diligence, solution development. Responsibilities Lead a team of dedicated and semi-dedicated Systems Administrators Determine client or services requirements and provide designs for managed services, customized operational support and consulting services Represent Compugen services capabilities and influence customer expectations according to capabilities and constraints Present Compugen proposed solutions in a professional business environment Provide support to installation personnel as needed to clarify service expectations; including providing diagrams, verbal explanation, and written documentation Ensure compliance with all Policies and Procedures Participate in customer monthly and quarterly business review meetings Develop or maintain peer relationships and understand and utilize company resources Work on large complex environment with a strategy towards improving the overall operations Drive and instill solution best practices Depth and breadth of expertise in Managed Hosting, Cloud, Virtualization, Outsourced infrastructure solutions (managed and un-managed), Security, and Professional Services Influence into Custom Engineering, Product Engineering Develop Solutions technically with mapping to Industry Competitiveness Transformation of Technology and Business Value Based Decision Support/TCO-ROI Analysis
Required skills Proficient with common office applications, including MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Visio Strong leadership experience Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written and presentation) Experience performing needs assessments, and making recommendations based on the discovered needs Ability to document solution components in a timely manner while ensuring acceptable level of detail, data integrity, and accountability Ability and willingness to share knowledge and expertise among various organizations within the company Ability and willingness to take the initiative to facilitate teamwork within the various organizations of the company to serve the customer Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate strong problem solving skills, Capability to schedule time with flexibility to handle varying workload, and still meet tight deadlines Ability to multi-task and work multiple projects simultaneously.
Basic Qualifications: Systems Integrator / Consulting Knowledge and at least five years’ experience in Professional Services / Consulting, Managed Hosting Services, Cloud, Virtualization, Outsourced infrastructure solutions (managed and un-managed), specialized Enterprise application suites or equivalent expertise. Experience with disaster recovery and personal mobility products. Knowledge and at least two years’ experience in design of distributed, high availability server-based network computing infrastructures. Storage network experience is desirable. Knowledge and at least two years’ experience in configuration and support of Microsoft Windows, UNIX, or Solaris operating systems, including remote management. Knowledge of computer environmental facilities including power distribution, uninterruptible power switching systems, generators, air handling equipment, cabling and cable management systems, fire suppression, and security. Knowledge of application software, middleware, database and operating system layers. ITIL v3.0 Certification
