Sr. Mobile Developer

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing group we are looking for Sr. Mobile Developer  with iOS , Android  and Agile environment  experience to place at our client, an Enterprise Retail Company in Toronto.

Client:  Enterprise Retail Company

Terms:  Contract to Hire

Start date: ASAP/TBD

Hours:  40 hours per week

Location:  Currently 100% Remote; post COVID, on-site in Toronto

Required Qualification:

  • 6+ years of Experience in Mobile Development in iOS and Android Platform
  • 3+ Years in (Objective-C/Swift) and 3+ Years in Android (Java/Kotlin)
  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
  • Experience creating Hybrid applications using SSO with Websites
  • Proficiency in object-oriented development and ability to apply OO concepts
  • 5+ years in Agile/Scrum environment delivering high quality software against aggressive schedules
  • Defining and implementing standards and follow best practices for the iOS and Android Apps.
  • Analyzing and optimizing applications to maximize speed and scale while factoring in mobile network latency and bandwidth constraints.
  • Experience in Object oriented programming, Mobile design patterns, integration with SOAP, RESTful services
  • Experience with various frameworks in iOS, Android, and third-party integrations using CocoaPods/Swift Package Manager/Gradle/Maven
  • Experience writing Unit tests and Automation tests
  • Experience with Code coverage and Monitoring
  • Tools: Analytics & Crash monitoring, Git / Stash, Crashlytics
  • Methodologies: Continuous Integration, CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience with Code signing and Releasing apps to AppStore, PlayStore
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal, oral & presentation 
  • Energetic - go getter mentality

    • Nice to have:

  • Experience with SwiftUI
  • Experience with Kotlin
  • Tools: Performance Testing, Command Line Tools, Device farm testing and Mobile Device Management
  • Experience Implementing backend services
  • Experience working on GCP / Azure
  • Experience working on JavaScript frameworks like Angular and React
  • Experience working with Microservices architecture
  • Experience working in Hybrid application development
