The Integrations Manager will have 3 major areas of focus; working with customers, Assent’s engineering team, contractors, and partners to ensure successful implementation of integrations; playing a lead role in communicating our integrations offering internally and externally; and playing a significant role in developing our integrations strategy. The Integrations Manager will report to the Director, Product Management in charge of our Data Ingestion products.

This role is open to candidates within Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, and Waterloo. Other locations may also be considered. 

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Assent’s current data ingestion landscape, processes, technical requirements, and offerings including Assent’s roadmap;
  • Leverage technical understanding, customer focus, attention to detail, quality, and communication skills to identify, implement, test, and deploy solutions;
  • Form relationships and regularly meet with customers, partners, and prospects to understand integration needs;
  • Leverage prior relationships and knowledge of the integrations landscape to recommend partnership opportunities;
  • Use your findings to design, price, and validate integrations that make our entire customer base successful;
  • Work with customers and internal teams to execute on contracted integrations, including management of contractors/partners, coordination of resources in engineering and data teams, and communications on project status to stakeholders;
  • Understand the market, including competitor evaluation, and identify trends to define a short and long-term strategy, which requires strong collaboration with marketing and sales;
  • Partner with engineering teams and other stakeholders to solution new integrations and enhance existing ones,
  • Assist in prioritizing the product improvement backlog to ensure the team is focused on delivering value to the business,
  • Effectively communicate, across many channels, your progress with your team and stakeholders,
  • Measure and communicate the impact of new and existing solutions and use it to plan future projects,
  • Compile recommended enhancements and regularly present them to the Product organization for review,
  • Act as a key stakeholder in prioritization and strategic planning of initiatives that impact integrations,
  • Advise on and then manage testing strategies for 3rd party contractors;
  • Develop a warm handoff between integrations presales activities and implementation;
  • Shadow, and then lead, product demo sessions for increased valuable market exposure;
  • Contributes to the development of key messaging;
  • Contributes to launch activities, and monitors metrics.
  • Does this sound like you:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, PMP are all considered assets;
  • 5+ years experience in a customer-facing role like Solutions Engineer, Professional Services, Application Consultant working with a managed services or SaaS environment;
  • 5+ years experience leading projects requiring managing customer expectations;
  • Proven track record of prioritizing the needs of various stakeholders across multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Experience common integration technologies (e.g. REST, JSON, JavaScript, etc.);
  • Experience in ERP or PLM software solutions and software development experience are considered assets;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - you communicate clearly, concisely, and with tact;
  • Deep understanding of SaaS;
  • An avid consumer of current and emerging technologies;
  • Understanding of databases, software development processes and lifecycle, and quality assurance principles;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - you are able to build and scale stable relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders both internally, and externally with prospects and customers;
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills - you seek to understand, ask the right questions, communicate proactively and effectively, and involve the right people at the right time
  • Excellent leading, influencing, and negotiation skills - strong ability to build consensus and get buy-in on product vision and direction, and orient teams to the actions required for success;
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to tailor the message to the audience, and deliver the intended message effectively;
  • A high degree of professionalism, maturity, and emotional intelligence;
  • Excellent time management skills and highly organized with the ability to multitask, execute on short-term projects and manage ongoing long-term strategies;
  • Strategic and business-minded with a genuine passion for helping customers, and providing solutions to their puzzles;
  • A propensity to stay calm and reasonable under pressure, with sound judgment and decision-making abilities;
