Our client is a successful manufacturer of organic plant products sold to commercial clients and retailers across the world. We are looking for a Senior Warehouse Manager to join their team. We are looking for warehouse managers with sophisticated inventory control experience (managing systems by lot or serial numbers). We are also searching for candidates with international shipping and logistic experience, as well as experience using an ERP system. Our client is looking for a team player who is wiling to roll up their sleeves and help get the work done when needed. This position will manage multiple warehouse locations.

Responsibilities:

Manage two different warehouse facilities and warehouse managers, for a total of 9 staff with 2 direct reports

Overall leadership of the warehouse activities

Ensure orders are picked accurately and on time

Manage inputs as they come in

Feed production lines with inputs

Use the ERP system to manage inventory and key information

Create processes to manage growth

Manage warehouse staff, from recruiting, hiring, supervising, scheduling, evaluation and personnel development

Sign off on all freight bills, ensure incoming goods are accounted for and paperwork is processed

Organize products into clearly defined areas

Inventory control of incoming and outgoing freight

Conduct daily counts

Process all paperwork of outgoing shipments

Daily cleaning and organizing of the warehouse

Delegate duties to the warehouse team

Promote and champion workplace safety

Qualifications:

5-10 years of experience years in a previous warehouse management role (ideally a mid-size company with high growth)

Experience with tight inventory control measures (by lot number or serial number)

WMS implementation skills is an asset – experience using a WHS system is required

International shipping and logistics experience

Progressive management approach and team player – willing to roll up their sleeves

Organized, strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Strong communication skills

Experience using ERP systems and other computer applications (Spire is a major asset)

Experience in the food, pharmaceuticals, or the fertilizer industry is nice to have

Forklift experience is an asset

First aid designations are an asset

Experience managing multiple sites is an asset
