JOB PURPOSE:

This is a key leadership role within the Medical Leadership team with the key purpose of managing the development and execution of the Medical Division strategic plan, ensure delivery to performance targets and lead transformational projects through excellence in project management and leadership.

This requires significant Strategic alignment within the CDN medical division, across the enterprise while ensuring a collaborative relationship with Global functions to influence change.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Medical Division Leadership team to develop and execute Medical’s strategic and tactical plan - Coordinate and stage priority initiatives across the Medical Division and ensure the focus is kept on these areas thought out the year.
  • Link between Pharma Medical Ops and Global and across the enterprise:
  • Information dissemination
  • Feedback on global work streams
  • Leading on and enabling global change initiatives
  • Establish and Execute the Medical Performance Management system- (Ensure our strategy is executed and measured with timely course correction)
  • Build and execute MDLT remit
  • LT Comm cell and issue resolution
  • LT Monthly Metrics and Quarterly reviews
  • Liaison with Departmental Comm cell and Lt meetings
  • Escalate and engage cross functionally with Divisional leadership where issues are complex.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with Global and Enterprise cross functional teams to ensure our voices are heard. 
  • Business plan process owner for Canada and Global Medical lead to ensure strong commercial and medical partnership occurs.
  • Lead and facilitate the execution and progress of employee engagement for the medical division while acting as a liaison with the Chief of Staff on the holistic Enterprise plans.
  • Medical leadership (Director and Manager) coaching - Influence, inspire, coach and develop the Medical community to enable full alignment with ADP principles and fundamentals to drive alignment and performance
  • Veeva Strategy deployment – working with Veeva Admin to make decisions for the business to be implemented locally
  • Liaison between Commercial (Sales, Mkting and Access and Enterprise Ops).
  • Feedback loop and issue escalation “barriers’ for Enterprise priorities
  • Coordinates with Business partners (HR, Finance, IT) to ensure the Medical Division can execute its remit.
  • Facilitate knowledge management and sharing best practice within and outside of Medical with a view to building leadership, and change management capability and capacity within project teams.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree, preferably in Health Sciences or Business Administration/Finance/Economics
  • Project Management Experience
  • Ability to communicate with clarity, passion and impact
  • Experienced change agent who challenges status quo
  • Goal oriented self-starter with strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strength in managing a portfolio of projects
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and achieve results
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Lean Sigma Certification and/or PMP designation (Project Management Professional).
  • Depth of experience in project management tools, including planning.
  • Effective Decision making and proven ability to work in the grey
  • Good understanding of / experience in the Healthcare sector
  • Demonstrated track record of success in planning/managing and embedding complex strategic initiatives
  • Must have project management experience in the delivery of large complex projects, ideally across a variety of business areas. 
  • Must have a performance mindset and can work tenaciously through difficulties to achieve clear results.
  • Excellent leadership, networking, and communication skills to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Must be able to operate and influence across business units and management levels to drive change and achieve results including working with senior leaders locally and globally.
  • Significant experience in facilitating cross-functional groups
