Role Description:

The Talent Acquisition team at Tucows is embarking on a transformation initiative to further our role as strategic partners to the business with a focus on building the Tucows Talent Brand, providing a significant and memorable candidate experience while attracting top talent in the hyper-competitive tech industry.

We are looking for a highly motivated Talent Lead, Engineering to join our ever-growing Talent Acquisition team, supporting the growth and expansion of our engineering team. The Talent Lead will act as the Senior Talent Partner, leading the engineering business relationship with the Chief Technology Officer and Engineering Leadership Team.

The Talent Lead will conduct full-cycle recruitment from the creation of job descriptions, job posting, screening, sourcing, interviewing and presentation of offer letters. They will also oversee our newly created Talent Partner, Engineering role, supporting both experienced hiring, and developing our Engineering campus program. The ideal person will bring their experience in tech hiring and creative approach to successfully attract top talent to join our team.

Responsibilities:

From generating an engaged pipeline of prospective applicants to providing a meaningful, on-brand candidate experience and attracting top talent to support our growing needs, you will own all TA requirements for Engineering. By demonstrating your knowledge of technical recruiting, you will bring your innovative ideas and creative solutions to the team to succeed in hiring top talent globally in a hyper-competitive space.

  • Full cycle recruitment from position creation to offer and turndown, maintaining a positive experience throughout.
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and improve the applicant experience.
  • Develop and maintain an engaged talent pipeline
  • Co-coordinate interview schedules to maintain an efficient and effective timeline and positive candidate experience
  • Develop a deep understanding of the ideal candidate profile that suits the culture and changing landscape of the business
  • Mentor and develop others on the talent team, supporting the engineering function
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to refine job descriptions, participate in events, as required
  • Produce reports on recruiting activity in order to provide meaningful reports and analytics to the business with the intention of continuous improvement and successful hiring

  • 5+ years proven experience attracting and hiring top talent in the tech sector
  • Outstanding personal leadership skills
