Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance for Tim Hortons, this position is responsible for interpreting Tim Hortons specifications, ensuring production facilities are complying to RBI Quality Standards and assessing commodities directly using measurement tools to ensure compliance to RBI requirements.
Qualifications: 2-year Technical Degree in Quality, Industrial Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology CPG packaging background with min 1-year experience Performing physical inspections with Standard Test & Measuring Equipment Proficient at “technical Inspections” Knowledge of Vision or other Inspection Systems Conversant in Statistical Process Control applications
Responsibilities: In conjunction with Innovation Team, review and assess new packaging product / concepts prior to Test Markets, ensuring definition of critical characteristics or recommendations of parameters to include to complete TH specifications Using In House Packaging testing equipment, evaluate and validate changes to specifications proposed by suppliers or Packaging Innovation. Complete Measurements of Packaging Commodities against TH specifications and identify any deviations. Create Inspection Reports and documentation of testing results. Deliver results and present to internal teams and stakeholders at various levels within the organization Travel to production facilities as required to ensure facilities are complying to RBI QA requirements Attend Supplier(s) sample production runs, and Test Market production runs to ensure product is meeting expectations. Communicate results of production visits to Product Excellence and Quality Assurance at completion of daily assessment. Work with Suppliers to define Corrective Action Plans and testing/inspection frequencies as defined in TH Specifications. Provide feedback to production facilities during production in terms of product compliance to TH requirements. Work with other 3rd party lab to calibrate and share findings and learnings and make recommendations on how to improve our testing process. Using Problem solving methodology, lead trouble shooting of quality packaging issues including gathering information and sample from TH restaurants. Manage day to day running of Pkg Lab and maintenance of packaging testing equipment
