Accountemps is searching for a talented Accounting Clerk for an esteemed organization. The primary duties of the Accounting Clerk will include but not be limited to assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. This is a short-term temporary position located in the Abbotsford, British Columbia area.

What you get to do every day

- General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

- Rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources

- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

- Aid Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

- Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

- Upload financial information to journals and ledgers


- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus

- 2+ years of relevant experience

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

- Outstanding data entry skills
