Purpose of the position

We are currently looking for a Recreation Technician // Multipurpose Recreation Manager to work part-time in two of our residences for a full-time position of 37.5 hours. Our two residences Le Manoir Outremont and Maison Hospitalière de St-Joseph are located in Montreal and Outremont. The schedule is variable and involves availability as needed. You should be able to move around easily. The Manoir Outremont is a warm and pleasant residence which is fortunate enough to welcome a little more than 350 independent residents with a slight loss of autonomy. Maison Hospitalière de St-Joseph has a little less than 40 residents, the Religious Hospitallers of St-Joseph, with whom we share our daily lives, have all, from near or far, worked in the field of health. We have an infirmary with 23 beds. The animation in the infirmary will be more to preserve what has been learned ... More cognitively oriented, the activities for the clientele of the infirmary will be different. For the semi-autonomous and the autonomous, laughter, dancing, exercises, singing… They are particularly fond of all that is charitable…, making, DIY… Your imagination will be your limit! Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :

Know the residents and encourage participation in activities

Animate and ensure surveillance during activities

Ensure the decoration of the premises during special events

Ensure the logistics of activities

Regularly ensure that the activities correspond to the needs and tastes of the residents Collaborate with the various departments of the residence in order to facilitate the task of all

Plan the calendar of activities

Promote activities to residents

Write the journal as needed and take residents' registrations for the various activities

Always reinventing itself and then listening to our residents

Required qualifications :

More than 2 years of experience in the management of activities related to the elderly

DEC in Leisure Management and Intervention Techniques

Level of spoken language : intermediary english, advanced french

Level of written language : intermediary english, advanced french
